Beyond Addiction

This course is designed for individuals seeking to develop healthy habits and overcome addictive behaviour, for health professionals who work with addiction and for certified yoga teachers who would like to teach a yoga-based addiction recovery program. The course outlines a four weekend or 16 week recovery program which includes Kundalini Yoga, breathing techniques, meditation, relaxation, self-reflection, lifestyle and dietary guidelines, stress management, hydrotherapy, naturopathic detoxification and nutritional and herbal supplementation for neurotransmitter and glandular balance.

Instructors

Daya Kaur

Daya Kaur has been practicing Kundalini Yoga since 1996, teaching, and living a yogic lifestyle since 2002. Certified through KRI, IKYTA with additional training in Healthy Breast Program, KY for Addiction Recovery, Radiant Child, and Holistic Nutrition. She weaves the physical aspect and philosophy of yoga with a daily spiritual discipline, aware that these sacred teachings are still relevant today. Daya Kaur thrives on sharing this knowledge and guiding others on their personal path.

Sat Amrit

Sat Amrit is a Certified Kundalini, Hatha, and Ashtanga yoga teacher. He is also a Certified Reiki Master, an initiate of ancient healing and manifesting traditions, and has 21 years of experience using the performing arts and healing modalities to empower youth and help them break through personal limitations. He is currently taking ongoing training in the power of yoga as a lifestyle and tool for personal transformation under the guidance of Sat Dharam Kaur ND and KRI.

Fees

$1200 + HST for 4 weekends if paid before Mar. 15, 2011; $1400 + HST for 4 weekends if paid after Mar. 15, 2011
